Police expose 108 Russian subversive groups since Feb 24


Since the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian police have exposed 108 enemy reconnaissance and subversive groups, having detained more than 1,880 suspects allegedly involved in sabotage.

First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Eugene Enin stated this on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.

Police have initiated 2,220 criminal proceedings into the facts of citizens’ cooperation with the aggressor power, the Russian Federation, 108 reconnaissance and subversive groups have been exposed, more than 1,880 people have been detained, allegedly involved in sabotage,” Enin said.

The deputy minister added that de-occupation measures are ongoing in the territories liberated from Russian forces.

According to Enin, law enforcers’ work covers a range of issues, including documenting war crimes, issuing IDs to residents of liberated territories, conducting humanitarian demining, etc.

As reported by Ukrinform, on December 22, Ukrainian forces confronted and engaged a Russian subversive group discovered in Sumy region bordering Russia. The group, which was trying to break through the border, was eliminated.
