In Slobozhansky direction, the army of the Russian Federation continues to prepare for the offensive and examines possible ways to advance and supply military equipment from the territory of Russia.
This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to prepare for the offensive, examines possible ways to advance, supply weapons and military equipment and materiel from the territory of the Russian Federation. In order to reduce the offensive potential of our troops, the enemy fires rocket and tube artillery on the defense forces’ positions,” the report reads.
According to the General Staff data, the situation has not changed significantly in Volyn and Polissya areas directions.
In Siversky direction, the Russian army fires artillery from the territory of Russia on the Ukrainian localities of Boyaro-Lezhachi and Manukhivka in Sumy region, Yanzhulivka and Kamenska Sloboda in Chernihiv region.
The enemy did not take active action in Kharkiv direction, focusing its main efforts on deterring the actions of Ukrainian units. The invaders fired on civilian infrastructure in Odnorobivka, Udy, Ruski Tyshky, and Cherkaski Tyshky.
In Slovyansk direction, the enemy continues to regroup troops to resume the offensive towards Izium–Barvinkove and Izium–Slovyansk. The enemy made unsuccessful assault attempt towards Kurulka and retreated to previously occupied positions.
Apart from artillery shelling, the enemy launched airstrikes on Novoselivka and Lysychansk districts and missile strikes on Soledar and Siversk localities in Donetsk direction.
In Lyman direction, the enemy regroups and prepares for the offensive, tried to reconnoiter the routes of advance through water obstacles.
In Sievierodonetsk direction, the enemy conducts assault operations in the area of Sievierodonetsk, Toshkivka, and Ustynivka. The fighting continues.
Military operations are ongoing in the area of Komyshuvakha, Novoluhanske, and Berestove in Bakhmut direction.
In Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy has no success, tries to strengthen the group and make up for losses with outdated and restored equipment.
The enemy did not conduct active hostilities in the Southern Buh direction. The invaders fired on civilian infrastructure in the area of Posad-Pokrovske, Osokorivka, Novovorontsovka, Blahodatne, Partyzanske and others.
“During the successful offensive of the defense forces, the enemy suffered losses and withdrew from the village of Mykolaivka, Kherson region, stirring panic among servicemen of other units of the Russian Armed Forces,” the General Staff informs.
In Kryvyi Rih direction, the enemy fired artillery on the Armed Forces of Ukraine and conducted counter-battery activities.
In the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, the Black Sea Fleet ships continue to isolate the combat area, conduct reconnaissance, and support fire in the coastal direction. The enemy blocks civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
As noted, Russian troops continue to strengthen the air defense system in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The enemy additionally deployed up to two S-300 anti-aircraft missile divisions of the 4th Army of the Southern Military District.
As reported, Vadym Denysenko, Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had advanced by an average of 8-10km in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia directions, southern Ukraine, as of the evening of May 29.
