THUNDER BAY – The Lakehead Thunderwolves will open the 2021-22 campaign with an eight-game home-stand – followed by 10 straight on the road that will keep them off the Fort William Gardens ice for nearly three months.
The Wolves will close out their regular season on Feb. 19 at home against the Brock Badgers, 90 days after closing out a two-game set in Thunder Bay against the Brock Badgers.
The rink will be unavailable in early 2022 to accommodate the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, which will be played from Jan. 28 to Feb. 6. Prep time will also be needed ahead of the national women’s curling championship.
The Wolves, who sat out last season when Ontario University Athletics cancelled all sports, will open at home on Nov. 4 against the York Lions, the first of a back-to-back-to-back set.
The Ryerson Rams invade the Gardens the following weekend for three, with the Toronto Varsity Blues scheduled to play a pair on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20.
Lakehead will then visit Ryerson, Brock, Toronto and York, before wrapping up their road schedule on Feb. 11 and Feb. 12 against Toronto.
